Summer glow meets Alice

"Hey Susanna, when could you do my nails?" I've promised to do my friend's nails for a while now and since we both had nothing planned for yesterday afternoon, she came over to get her nails done. I think they turned out pretty great and my friend was REALLY happy about them.

The plan was to do some stamping on the ring fingers but I realized I need to work on my stamping skills. I used to do it all the time, what happened?? (probably few years off from doing nail art has something to do with that). Good thing I had some water decals that both she liked and that showed up from all the glitter.

Nail polishes used:

Dermosil - Summer glow
OPI - Absolutely Alice

Also white feather water decals on ring fingers.

My friend fell in love with Summer glow and I actually happened to have another one of the exact nail polish in my collection. I somehow ended up with two bottles of it from something that has to do with LivBox. So I decided to give the other one to my friend and I don't even know which one she was more excited about, the nails or the nail polish haha :D

A little behind the scenes from taking the pictures :DD

Eurovision 2015

It's Eurovision week! As a Eurovision fan (who usually only watches the final tho) I HAD TO make Eurovision themed nails. I had a lot of different ideas but most of my inspiration came from the Eurovision website and obviously I had to include the flag. Also glitter! I mean come on, it's Eurovision.

Velvet Rope was a pretty accurate match to the color on the website and I also wanted to include the dots on the top somehow. Purple multi glitter had pretty chunky and round glitters in it and it went well with the color so I chose that. The flag didn't end up looking too good but oh well. I didn't have skills to draw a heart and then color the flag in it so that will do. Also I used some black rhinestones and acrylic paint to make little musical notes. I also realized that I don't own a black nail polish. I think I need to go buy one asap.

With all the glitter, I think it will take me 10 hours to remove these. Can't wait...

Nail polishes I used:
Orly - Velvet Rope
Essie - She's Picture Perfect
Essie - Blanc
Gina Tricot - Fairy Floss
Gina Tricot - Purple Multi Glitter
OPI - Color So Hot It Berns

And also black rhinestones and a black acrylic paint from Tiger.

So much lavender

My friend came over to visit me for few days so we decided to paint our nails. My friend wanted to use some lavender colors so we used a few different ones, some diamond shaped glitters and rhinestones. The nails turned out pretty cute.

Nail polishes we used:
Gina Tricot - Old Purple
Kone Helsinki - 801
Orly - Lollipop

And purple Diamond Dazzling glitters and purple rhinestones.

Flowers... again

As the weather is getting warmer, the flower theme starts showing up on nails more and more. I feel like I want to do flower nails and flower nails only until it starts snowing again.

These were done on my friend's nails as I paint them almost weekly. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out even though I had a little bit different vision in my head.

The nail polishes I used (I need to learn how to take better pictures of these I know):

Essie - Blanc
OPI - Kinky In Helsinki
Sally Hansen (Diamond Strength) - Sweetie Pie
Color Club - The Lime Starts Here

Abstract flowers

Welcome to my new blog! This is all about nails and nail art. I really wanted to post more nail art things on my other blog but felt like I would've completely spammed it if I posted all the nails I do on there. The blog's design and banner is just something I made late last night so it won't stay this way for long, I hope. Once I get more nail pictures, I'll try to make something better.

I used to do a bunch of nail art in high school and I think junior high too but then I got lazy and stopped. Now I got excited about nail art again recently and I've been doing my own and my friend's nails every week.

These were inspired by a youtube video I watched a while back and can't find anymore. They were pretty easy to make as no tools were needed. I'm just not really happy with the flower colors I picked and the "leaves" turned out too big. But oh well, they still look pretty cute.

The nail polishes I used:

Tanya Burr by eye candy - Little Duck
OPI - A Grape Fit!
OPI - Kinky In Helsinki
Color Club - The Lime Starts Here
Color Club - name unknown

The Tanya Burr polish has been in my mind to use for a design for a while now but I've used Essie's Mint Candy Apple instead oops. The colors are so similar anyway. Kinky In Helsinki used to be my favorite polish ever for the longest time but I haven't used it in a while and I totally forgot how huge the brush was so it was kind of difficult to make some of the flowers with it.
